We are excited to share the progress of the NEW LODGE!

Pool Complex

The pool complex is a wonderful addition to the main lodge! It has a large indoor heated POOL with a small waterslide for all ages to enjoy, a large SPA, and a SPLASH PAD. What a fun way to enjoy your time with family making memories! This area has large window that allow for a stunning lake view.

Pool, Large Family Spa, Splash Pad and Waterslide

The hot tub has a beautiful view of the beach, lake, playground and grassy area with the bridge and pond in the distance. Many will enjoying warming up and relaxing here in the coming years.

The splash pad features a kids slide, a water bug, a leaf shower, a water tunnel, a fun little frog sprayer, a silhouette funnel and some surprising spray pods throughout the play area.

Currently, we are looking forward to painting the second level in a couple of weeks where there will be eleven new lodge suites. They will range from a one room studio suite to four bedroom lakeside lodge suites. (Photos will follow one completed) These are now available to reserve on our website or by calling the resort. Reservations are now being accepted for beginning in the weekend of fishing opener in May. If you are a current guest here with us at Hiawatha Beach feel free to let us know if you are in need of additional space for your family or would like to add a boat or dock slip to your reservation. The summer is filling up quickly as people begin to think of warmer days ahead.

Lastly, the main level has walls up and is being prepared for sheet rock and the ceiling to be hung. The elevator and stairwell are being constructed and are set to go in yet this winter. We are thankful for the team of contractors that are working on this project and we all look forward to the completions of the Lodge. We look forward to seeing everyone this coming summer season!

Making Memories at Hiawatha Beach Resort!

We were excited to see so many returning guests in 2024. The new guests referrals and the fun posts we saw on social media are very much appreciated. We are truly thankful and blessed by each of you as Hiawatha
Beach looks forward to a joy filled 2025 season! Guests enjoyed the addition of the Heartland trail bike tours and the Steamboat Bay boat tours this summer. The Hey Ride! with Jimmy has been a hit the past three summers and we are happy to say the Hey Ride! will be back again this coming summer. The dance party added a fun spin on the beach party BBQ as well. It was great to see so many smiles throughout the day by both guests and even staff members. The addition of the snack shack brought a fun beach gathering area to the property. The Lake House was a great addition to the resort as well, this gave people a large cabin to gather together for up to 24 people. This is why we felt that 2024 was a summer of growth and perseverance.

The summer 2025 vacations will be a blast for everyone here at Hiawatha Beach Resort. The new lodge is expected to be completed in 2025, which is exciting. The pool, hot tub and splash pad area was approved by the state on October 16th, for which we are grateful. There was such an outpouring of love and support throughout this past year, the Jacobson Family along with our staff thank you all. Other things to look forward to will be meals together at the lodge, playing games, drinking a milkshake, splashing in the new pool complex and enjoying a movie with friends and family.

We always look forward to helping our guests make lifelong memories!

Memories and More at Hiawatha Beach Resort!

Memories and More at Hiawatha Beach Resort!

We were excited to see so many returning guests in 2023. The new guests referrals and the fun posts we saw on social media are very much appreciated. We are truly thankful and blessed by each of you as Hiawatha Beach looks forward to a fun filled 2024 season! Guests enjoyed the addition of a few new activities. The Hey Ride! was a hit the past two summers and we are happy to say the Hey Ride! will be back again this coming summer. The dance party added a fun spin on the beach party BBQ as well. It was great to see so many smiles throughout the day by both guests and even staff members. Together we felt that 2023 was a summer to remember.

The summer 2024 vacations will look different for us here at Hiawatha Beach Resort.  On the morning of October 6th, 2023 the main lodge caught fire over the pool area, taking down the entire lodge. There was such an outpouring of support that came from near and far. That day there were five different fire departments that worked tirelessly to put the fire out. There was support from many local businesses that helped by delivering meals and drinks for all those at the site. People began to reach out right away. Many of you know Nick (one of our dock boys), he lost everything in the fire as he was living there while teaching at the Walker school this year. Thankfully he made it out safely. Many people in the community helped gather clothing and other essentials for Nick.

We know many of you have many memories at the lodge. Whether it be having a meal together, playing games, drinking a milkshake, splashing in the pool or enjoying a movie with friends and family. We recognize that you all are wondering what your family vacation will look like next year. This is what we know now and we will update everyone as we know more. Firstly, we would like to let everyone know that we are going to rebuild the main lodge here at Hiawatha Beach Resort. The construction is scheduled to begin in January with Hy-Tec Construction. Secondly, we plan on adding amenities to be able to offer more to do outside if we don’t have the lodge completed. Thirdly, the plan is to get the Registration area, Bait room, Restaurant/Bar, Pool/Hot Tub and new Theater Room completed as soon as possible. Lastly, over near the Harbor House there will be a new 7 bedroom 7.5 bathroom cabin built to accommodate more guests.

Here at Hiawatha Beach Resort we will continue to work hard to make sure each guest has the very best experience. Our prayer is that you will all come alongside us during this difficult time as we rebuild something that all your families can enjoy for years to come. Our Hiawatha guests are truly the best; many of you have reached out to us and we so appreciate each and every one of you.

One of the fun things that you can still look forward to will be the treasure hunt. Other guest favorites were the kids fishing trip, sign painting, rocket building and launch, bingo, the weiner roast, and the Beach Party BBQ! This coming season guests will be able to look forward to karaoke, new beach equipment and more water toys! We always look forward to helping our guests make lifelong memories!

With the addition of the new fishing boats, our boat rentals are definitely in high demand! The variety of boats was a hit this summer and the weather was absolutely beautiful for spending time on the lake. Please give us a call if you are interested in adding a boat to your reservation. Whenever you rent for a week you only pay for five days and the sixth and seventh days are FREE!

If you have a reservation in the main lodge we will be reaching out to you directly. For those in the cabins we are asking that deposits be in by Friday November 24th. Cancellations made prior to January 1st will be reimbursed in full. We want to take this time to wish you all a wonderful holiday season filled with family time and many blessings in 2024! We greatly appreciate your support of the Jacobson Families and Hiawatha Beach Resort as a whole.

God Bless,

The Jacobson Family

Looking Ahead to 2024

Looking Ahead to 2024

As we wrap up 2023 we reflect on the joys as well as the struggles, there was so much to be thankful for. As many of you know the resort lost its main lodge in October to an electrical fire. This has been a learning curve for us all here at Hiawatha. While we have had so much love and support it is still a lot to take in and walk through.

Currently, we are waiting on the finial design work from architects and engineers (we are close). We also need the approval of the state for the plumbing plans, pool design, building structural design and various other panning, which all takes time. Once approved the steel structure package will be ordered. The variance from the county was approved to be able to the add square footage. This helps us to meet ADA code in the pool area as well as adding a stair well. The construction company that the resort has hired to help build the lodge is Hy-Tech based out of Brainerd MN. Construction will begin this winter as soon as possible.

There are many new obstacles that we are having to traverse that weren’t an issue when the old lodge was built back between 2005 and 2007. Once it became clear that we weren’t going to have the new lodge units ready intime we decided to move forward with “The Lake House”. The Jacobson’s along with a small crew are working on this is new 7 bedroom, 7.5 bathroom cabin that is located near “The Harbor House”. This cabin will help to offset some of the displaced guests for the 2024 season also add to the resort for years to come. Please know that our Hiawatha Beach guests are at the forefront of our hearts and minds as we move forward to rebuild what was lost. We look forward to seeing each and everyone of you in 2024!
